Located in the Mission Hills Historic District of San Diego, this quaint craftsman bungalow remodel is another successful collaboration between William ‘Bill’ Jones and Native Tile. For this project, Native Tile was commissioned to create tile for a fireplace and a custom entry wall planter. True to form, Bill was energetically involved in all design aspects. As a craftsman himself Bill holds the ceramic medium in high regard making it a very enjoyable partnership. We created a custom terracotta, gold and green mottled glaze inspired by a vintage tile from Bill’s collection of treasures. The resulting installations definitely feel in tune with the style of the original construction.
